Job Title: Emergency Lighting Engineer / Electrical Improver
Location: Swindon, Oxford, Gloucester (South West / M4 Corridor)
Salary: £32,000 – £35,000 (DOE)

We are currently recruiting for an Emergency Lighting Engineer / Electrical Improver to join a growing team delivering emergency lighting testing, maintenance, and compliance works across Swindon, Oxford and Gloucester.
This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical Improver, Junior Electrician, or Electrician’s Mate looking to build experience in a specialist and in-demand area of electrical compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out 3-hour drain tests on emergency lighting systems
* Perform emergency lighting testing and inspection in line with compliance standards
* Identify faults and failures including battery, lamp and fitting issues
* Complete remedial works to restore system functionality
* Accurately complete test reports, compliance documentation and job records
* Work across multiple sites including commercial and industrial environments
Requirements:
* Previous experience in electrical maintenance, testing, or emergency lighting (preferred)
* Electrical qualifications such as Level 2 / Level 3 Electrical Installations, Part 1 / Part 2 (or working towards)
* Suitable for an Electrical Improver or Junior Engineer
* Basic understanding of electrical systems and safety standards
* Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
* Full UK driving licence (preferred)
