Location: South Birmingham B32 Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (37 hours per week) Salary: £12.74 per hour (plus additional standby payments) Hours: Monday–Thursday office hours are 9am-5pm with Friday 9-4pm (Standby evenings and weekends on a rota basis) About the role As an Emergency Response Support Worker, you’ll be a key part of our responsive service which is a unique offering — providing vital emergency and pre-planned care to individuals when they require it most. You'll step in during crises to offer compassionate, professional support that enables people to feel safe and secure in their own homes. What you will do day to day * Respond promptly to emergency callouts on a rota basis * Deliver personal care and practical support in line with care plans * Complete initial assessments and update care documentation * Liaise with professionals and families to coordinate care * Maintain accurate records and reports * Promote client dignity, safety, and independence always Criteria * Experience in providing personal care (desirable but not essential) * Basic IT skills for record-keeping * A full UK driver’s licence, own vehicle, and business insurance (essential) * A caring, non-judgmental attitude and the ability to work under pressure * Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends What does it mean for me? * A rewarding role where YOU directly impact the lives of vulnerable individuals and their families * Training and development opportunities * Career progression * Supportive team environment and culture that fosters collaboration and excellence * Additional standby pay and mileage reimbursement * Ongoing supervision and management support * Employee wellbeing support
