A welcoming and inclusive Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Reading is seeking a compassionate and resilient Emotional and Mental Health Support Worker to join their team. This full-time role is ideal for graduates in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, or anyone with a strong interest in mental health and child development.
Working with children aged 5 to 11, many of whom face Autism, ADHD, trauma, and behavioural challenges, you will play a vital role in supporting their emotional regulation, learning, and overall well-being. You'll work closely with teachers, therapists, and other support staff, gaining invaluable experience in a therapeutic and education-focused setting.

Salary: £89-£100 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:00pm

Experience: Preferred but not essentialAs an Emotional and Mental Health Support Worker, you will assist with behaviour management, provide support during lessons and throughout the school day and work collaboratively with staff to implement individual support plans.
You will gain hands-on experience as an Emotional and Mental Health Support Worker, supporting children with a variety of mental health and SEN needs, working alongside SEN professionals. This is an excellent stepping stone for careers in psychology, therapy, social work, and more.
