Employability Officer – Jobs Guarantee Programme Location: East Wales Salary: £25,000 - £27,000 per annum Contract: Permanent, Full Time Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 4:30pm Help People Take the Next Step in Their Careers We're recruiting on behalf of a leading employee-owned training and employability organisation for an experienced Employability Officer to support the delivery of the Jobs Guarantee Programme across East Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in recruitment, employability, or welfare-to-work who enjoys building relationships, engaging with people, and helping individuals move into sustainable employment. The Role As an Employability Officer, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day delivery of the Jobs Guarantee Programme. You'll support participants throughout their journey, from referral and onboarding through to job matching and sustained employment, while working closely with internal teams and employers. Your ability to engage participants, identify employment opportunities, and maintain accurate programme records will be essential to the success of the programme. Key Responsibilities Support the referral process and coordinate participant onboarding. Build and maintain regular contact with participants to encourage engagement and attendance. Maintain accurate participant records and programme documentation. Collect and record evidence relating to job outcomes and sustained employment. Coordinate training sessions, workshops, and employer interviews. Work collaboratively with internal teams to support participant progression. Identify suitable employment opportunities that match participant skills and aspirations. Support participants as they transition into employment and maintain regular communication during the early stages of their new role. Contribute towards achieving programme performance and contractual targets. About You To be successful in this role, you'll have: Previous experience within recruitment. Experience supporting unemployed adults or individuals facing barriers to employment. Experience working in a target-driven commercial environment. Strong client relationship management skills. Excellent networking and business development abilities. Confidence in cold calling and employer engagement. Strong presentation and report-writing skills. Excellent organisational and communication skills. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. Desirable: Welsh speaking ability. What's on Offer?
