We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented ER Officer to join our team as a key first point of contact for all employee and manager queries. In this role, you will play a vital part in delivering consistent, high-quality advice and support across a range of employee relations matters within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
About the Role:
As an ER Officer, you will provide consistent, policy-based advice across a range of people matters. This includes handling first-line enquiries, supporting with case documentation, and maintaining accurate records. You’ll also help ensure we’re offering a high-quality service while managing risk and adhering to policy and best practice.
What You’ll Be Doing:
* Act as the first point of contact for employee relations queries by phone and email.
* Provide advice on core people issues such as disciplinary, grievance, probation, and absence management.
* Support the ER team by attending meetings and taking notes where required.
* Log and track case information using internal systems and trackers.
* Update our HR system with accurate and timely case data.
* Process key documentation including letters and formal case materials.
* Assist in compiling reports and monitoring management information.
* Escalate complex or high-risk cases as needed.
* Ensure all advice is aligned with internal policies and employment legislation.
What We’re Looking For:
* Solid understanding of employment law and HR best practice.
* Experience handling a variety of ER cases (absence, grievance, discipline, etc.).
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
* Customer-focused approach with the ability to manage competing priorities.
* Comfortable working independently and using your initiative.
* Previous experience using HR systems and maintaining accurate records.
