Employee Relations Specialist

📍 Northampton (Office based for 3 months then hybrid)
💰 £37,500
Contract: Permanent

The Role

A fast-paced Employee Relations role within a central HR team, managing a wide range of ER cases and advising stakeholders across a large, multi-site organisation.

You’ll take ownership of cases end-to-end while providing commercially focused HR advice to managers and senior leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  * Manage end-to-end ER cases (disciplinaries, grievances, appeals, sickness)

  * Provide HR advice and coaching to managers and senior stakeholders

  * Ensure all advice is legally compliant and aligned with company policies

  * Analyse risk and provide commercially sound solutions

  * Support complex cases and attend hearings when required

  * Maintain accurate case records and documentation

  * Contribute to continuous improvement within ER processes

The Ideal Candidate

  * Proven experience in an ER or HR advisory role

  * Strong knowledge of UK employment law and ER processes

  * Confident managing complex and sensitive cases

  * Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

  * Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment

  * Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload

  * Confident influencing and challenging stakeholders at all levels
