Job Description

Employer Engagement Office - Human Resources We are seeking an Employer Engagement Officer to join our client’s Human Resources and Employability team on a full-time basis in Redbridge. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to support the delivery of employment, skills, and enterprise objectives by helping local residents overcome barriers to work and achieve sustainable employment outcomes. Your new role: As an Employer Engagement Officer, you will: * Deliver personalised, high-quality employability support to residents, following the principles of Individual Placement Support (IPS) and/or the Supported Employment Quality Framework (SEQF). * Manage a caseload of clients with complex barriers to employment, supporting them to achieve and sustain meaningful job outcomes. * Conduct holistic assessments to identify client strengths, vocational interests, health needs, basic skills, and benefit entitlements. * Develop and implement tailored action plans, providing intensive coaching, motivation, and practical assistance throughout the employment journey. * Support clients with CV writing, job search, application processes, interview preparation, and workplace integration. * Deliver group sessions, including work clubs, employability workshops, peer support groups, and employer information events. * Engage and build effective relationships with employers, health professionals, and other partner organisations to facilitate referrals and improve employment outcomes. * Monitor client progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute data and insights to quarterly evaluation reports. * Meet project outcomes and performance targets, ensuring compliance with funding requirements. * Provide broader advice on financial wellbeing, childcare, housing, and other relevant social support services. What you’ll need to succeed: Essential: * Proven experience in supported employment delivery, IPS, or SEQF frameworks. * Experience supporting vulnerable groups—including individuals with disabilities, mental health conditions, or long-term health issues—into employment. * Strong understanding of employment, skills, and enterprise provision, ideally within a local authority or public sector environment. * Demonstrated ability to carry out holistic assessments, vocational profiling, and provide intensive client support. * Experience delivering group sessions and employer engagement activities. * Excellent one-to-one and group coaching, mentoring, and motivational skills. * Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. * Ability to manage multiple clients with complex needs and maintain accurate records. * Confidence in using data to monitor performance and inform service improvements. * Effective problem-solving, planning, and organisational skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across multi-agency teams.
