Overview:
We are working with several local authorities seeking experienced Employment Lawyers to support their in-house legal teams. This role offers complete flexibility with fully remote working and a competitive hourly rate.
Key Responsibilities:

Advise on a wide range of employment law issues, including misconduct, grievance, redundancy, TUPE, and discrimination matters.
*
Handle contentious and non-contentious employment matters for the authority.
*
Prepare and present cases at internal hearings and Employment Tribunals.
*
Draft and review contracts, policies, and procedures in line with current legislation.
*
Support HR teams with legal risk assessments and ongoing workforce changes.
Requirements:
*
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive.
*
Extensive experience in employment law, ideally within the public sector.
*
Strong knowledge of UK employment legislation and case law.
*
Ability to manage a caseload independently.
*
Experience representing clients at Employment Tribunal is desirable
