 Manchester | Employment Law | Employment Tribunal Litigation

Are you an experienced Employment Solicitor looking for a role where you can take genuine ownership of your cases and handle employment litigation from start to finish?

We're recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Employment Solicitor to join their established litigation team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a confident employment law specialist with recent litigation experience who enjoys managing their own caseload, advising clients commercially and representing them throughout the Employment Tribunal process.

You'll join a fast-paced but highly supportive environment, working on a varied portfolio of Employment Tribunal claims and taking responsibility for cases from the initial claim through to hearing preparation and resolution.

The Role

You'll manage your own caseload of Employment Tribunal matters, with key responsibilities including:

Reviewing Employment Tribunal claims and drafting ET3 responses
Providing clients with clear merits, risk and commercial assessments
Managing disclosure and preparing hearing and trial bundles
Conducting settlement and conciliation negotiations on behalf of clients
Drafting applications, correspondence and other tribunal documentation
Preparing witness evidence and drafting and finalising witness statements
Liaising directly with clients, Tribunals and claimant representatives
Conducting preliminary Employment Tribunal advocacy, remotely and occasionally in person
Supporting and providing guidance to trainees and junior colleagues where required 

What We're Looking For

We're particularly interested in hearing from qualified solicitors with strong employment law and Employment Tribunal litigation experience.

You'll be confident managing cases independently, comfortable advising clients on risk and strategy, and able to balance excellent client care with a pragmatic and commercially focused approach.

This role would suit an Employment Solicitor who enjoys the contentious side of employment law and wants exposure to a high volume and varied tribunal caseload, while still benefiting from the support of an experienced wider team.
