Job Title: Enforcement Officer (Temporary) Location: Ealing, London Contract Length: 3 months (possible extension) Hourly Rate: £21.33 per hour PAYE or £28.26 per hour Umbrella Working Pattern: Full Time - site visits Basic DBS Required Are you passionate about maintaining a clean and safe environment? Purpose of the Role: As an integral part of our area-based team, you will carry out enforcement duties related to refuse collection, fly-tipping, street trading, and more. Your efforts will ensure that the Council meets its statutory obligations while enhancing the local environment for all residents. Key Responsibilities: Develop and monitor enforcement strategies that integrate public concerns. Lead legal processes for street scene enforcement and coach colleagues. Interface with Legal Services and other departments for a coordinated approach. Coordinate enforcement activities with Environmental Health and other agencies. Perform inspections related to street cleansing, litter, dog fouling, and more. Prepare accurate reports, serve summonses, and attend court as needed. Engage with the community to address local issues and enhance service delivery. What You'll Need: A working knowledge of the Police and Criminal Evidence Act 1984. Familiarity with court procedures and the ability to give evidence. Understanding of the Environmental Protection Act, Highways Act, and other relevant legislation. Strong communication skills to liaise with stakeholders and the public effectively. Proficient in IT systems with a willingness to adapt to new technologies. Experience in contract management or enforcement is desirable. Why Join Us?
