Job Title: Engagement Officer
Pay Rate: £140.43 – £166.78
Location: Sandwell
Hours: 37hrs per week, Term Time plus 5 days
Are you passionate about helping young people succeed through improved school attendance? We’re seeking a committed and proactive Engagement Officer to join our team, working closely with students, families, and staff to promote a culture of punctuality, engagement, and achievement. This will be working in a PRU setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and improve student attendance and punctuality through targeted interventions
Build strong, supportive relationships with families and external agencies
Monitor, analyse, and report on attendance data to inform strategies
Lead attendance rewards initiatives and coordinate support for off-site provisionWhat We’re Looking For:
Minimum 2 years’ experience working with children, young people, and families
Solid understanding of safeguarding procedures and attendance legislation
Strong communication, data analysis, and IT skills (experience with SIMS desirable)
A flexible, empathetic, and resilient approach to challenges
Requirements:
Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain)
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
Flexibility to work outside standard school hours when needed
