Job Description
Vehicle Technician Engine Fitter
We are looking for an competent Engine Fitter to join our small but busy Mechanical Team with an eye for detail. We focus on tag teaming work and individual working to provide an efficient service to all our customers.
Responsibilities of the Engine Fitter / Vehicle Technician
The successful candidate will be able to diagnose faults using manufacturer and generic electronic diagnosis equipment, inspect, repair, maintain, overhaul, and rebuild engines from bare block whilst Completing all paperwork in an efficient and accurate manner, working as a team with your colleagues to ensure vehicle jobs are completed to the required time and standards and be able to work on your own initiative as well.
Primary Responsibilities of the Engine Fitter / Vehicle Technician
* The removal and refitting of used/reconditioned engine into vehicles, including cleaning engine parts.
* Servicing of vehicles.
* Ensures all service reports are completed accurately and efficiently.
* Maintains customer satisfaction by understanding customer needs and ensuring deadlines are met.
* Adheres to all safety rules and maintains quality housekeeping in shop area.
* As part of our quality control checks, carry our test driving of the vehicles worked upon and to assist with the diagnosis of faults.
Occasional/Other Responsibilities of the Engine Fitter / Vehicle Technician:
Assists with ordering parts, writing service reports, the return of parts and communicating with customers/insurance inspectors professionally.
What we need from you:
* Your own set of tools is necessary
* Full Driving Licence*
This is an exciting opportunity with excellent benefits and package for the right candidate. Including the use of company cars, mileage paid and 21 days or annual leave including bank holiday.
A Competitive bonus scheme based individual performance and customer satisfaction. I.e. After the 5th engine is completed within the month then you will receive a £500 bonus Paid on top of salary!
Starting salary is from £30,000k to 45,000k per year depending on experience.
Working hours will be 9.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday, additional overtime is always available.
