Key Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair faults on a wide range of machinery and plant equipment.
Carry out preventative maintenance in line with scheduled plans, including cleaning, lubricating, adjusting equipment, and updating maintenance records.
Perform safety checks and risk assessments, implementing actions to minimise hazards.
Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and equipment performance.
Ensure safe systems of work are followed at all times, including COSHH requirements.
Work collaboratively to coordinate maintenance activities and resolve technical issues.
Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding maintenance plans and progress.
Identify opportunities to improve performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Promote safe working practices, following procedures and wearing appropriate PPE/RPE.
Requirements
Completion of a recognised trade apprenticeship or a relevant engineering qualification with suitable experience.
Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Conscientious, hard-working, flexible, and safety-focused.
Excellent problem-solving ability, good interpersonal skills, and capable of working to tight deadlines.
