Job Description
Expleo is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Design Services Specialist to join our dynamic team supporting a prestigious automotive client on-site in Coventry. This is a contract position operating Inside IR35, offering the opportunity to work on cutting-edge vehicle technologies in a workshop-based environment. You will focus on the diagnosis, repair, and integration of complex mechanical and electrical systems in current production and engineering vehicles, ensuring readiness for SOTA and integration testing.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Team Leadership & Agile Delivery
Lead and support Agile teams, promoting Scrum values and practices.
Participate in KPI reviews and sprint showcases.
Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of continuous improvement.🔹 Technical Expertise
Design and validate electrified powertrains and complex automotive systems.
Deliver system rig designs and artefacts aligned with First Time Right metrics.
Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical vehicle systems.🔹 Quality & Compliance
Maintain documentation in line with audit standards (IATF 16949, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
Capture and share lessons learned to drive continuous improvement.🔹 Stakeholder Collaboration
Work cross-functionally to align with technical requirements and standards.
Maintain clear communication and proactively escalate issues.🔹 Workshop Operations
Perform software updates, diagnostics, and repairs.
Manufacture and modify electrical harnesses.
Fit and remove test components and interpret engineering drawings.
Essential Skills & Experience:
Proven experience in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).
Strong background in electrified powertrain design/validation.
Expertise in integrating complex automotive systems.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Degree or equivalent in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Controls, or Systems Engineering.
Desirable Skills:
Proficiency in Microsoft Visio and Excel.
Scrum Master certification.
Experience with automotive networks, HIL simulation, and cooling systems.
Six Sigma or equivalent problem-solving certification.
Familiarity with relevant automotive standards and safety regulations.
