Job Description
A small, busy and expanding manufacturing company based in Braintree are looking to recruit an Engineering Estimator to work alongside the MD. You will need to have an engineering or manufacturing background, be able to read/work from engineering drawings and be proficient in the use of Microsoft applications.
What's on offer:
Salary circa £30,000 depending on experience
Hours 8.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday finishing 1.30pm on Friday
20 days holiday plus bank holidays (3 days used for Christmas shutdown)

Free on-site parkingDuties:
Download and analyse customer drawings and specifications breaking them down to work out materials and labour costs
Use in house system to produce quotes
Liaise with customers, shopfloor and clients to check requirements and material suitability
Ensure the control of customers drawings
Ensure all work is carried out to company procedures
Training will be given to candidates with and engineering or manufacturing background and good computer skills.What's required:
Must have an Engineering or Manufacturing background
Practical mechanical engineering/manufacturing experience preferred
Estimating experience is preferable
Must be able to read and understand basic engineering drawings
Engineering qualifications would be preferable
Must be computer literate and have good numeracy skills
Candidates will need to reside within a commutable distance of Braintree
