Job Description
Are you a commercially-minded individual with a strong engineering background and a knack for estimating? This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced, growing manufacturing environment where your knowledge of CNC processes and customer service skills will make a real impact.
This is a Temporary to Permanent vancancy.
To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:
Minimum 5 years' experience in an Estimator or Technical Sales role within a manufacturing or engineering setting
A HND in Mechanical Engineering or completion of a recognised engineering apprenticeship
Confident using Excel (including formulas), Outlook, and Word
Strong communication skills - both verbal and written - with a professional phone manner
A proactive team player who's well-organised, detail-focused, and able to prioritise multiple demands
Within this position, you’ll also be:
Produce accurate quotations using customer drawings and CNC manufacturing knowledge
Perform contract reviews for approved quotes, ensuring correct pricing, revisions, and quantities
Be the main point of contact for customer queries, handling both technical and commercial matters
Proactively develop new customer relationships and support existing ones
Coordinate visits and meetings for the Commercial Manager
Collaborate closely with planning, production control, and engineering departments
