Join a Market Leader in Medical and Laboratory Gas Solutions - Engineering Estimator Wanted!
SHJ is a leading supplier of medical and laboratory gas pipelines, solutions, and services, and a market leader in remote monitoring and energy-saving technologies. We are committed to delivering the highest standards of care and support to our customers and continue to invest heavily in R&D to stay at the forefront of our industry.
We are now looking for a driven and detail-oriented Engineering Estimator to join our growing Installation team.
Key Responsibilities:
*
Prepare and submit tenders and PQQs
*
Produce accurate cost estimates from engineering reports, proposals, drawings, and specifications
*
Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering teams
*
Determine labour, materials, and time requirements for each project
*
Enter and maintain cost data in our Protean system
*
Monitor relevant tender websites and pursue opportunities
*
Assist with updating service part schedules for plant
*
Stay up to date with industry standards and attend technical workshops
Qualifications: Degree in a relevant field or equivalent industry experience
Skills and Experience:
*
Strong knowledge of standard contracts in Building and Civil Engineering (NHS/Healthcare experience an advantage)
*
Familiarity with standard forms of measurement
*
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
*
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
