Job Description
Engineering Estimator - Manufacturing
A leading manufacturer of food processing equipment is seeking an experienced Engineering Estimator to join their Sales Team. This is a key role supporting sales activities by preparing detailed estimates and quotations for both standard and bespoke machinery, including installation and service support.
Engineering Estimator - Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and detailed estimates using standard templates and Excel.
Include third-party equipment and components from group companies as needed.
Log and manage quotations using Access Database and CRM systems (e.g., Hubspot).
Respond to sales enquiries via phone and email, ensuring timely follow-up.
Raise internal sales orders from client purchase orders and link them to relevant quotations.
Collaborate with departments such as Accounts and Projects to support resource planning.
Provide technical information and lead time estimates to clients.
Contribute to the development of a more efficient estimating and quotation system.
Evaluate proposal software options and make recommendations to senior leadership.
Engineering Estimator - Ideal Candidate Profile:
Proven experience in a manufacturing estimating role, preferably within engineering or machinery.
Strong proficiency in MS Office 365, especially Excel, Word, Outlook, and Access.
Familiarity with CRM systems such as Hubspot.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work across all levels of the business.
Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
Ability to assess and recommend new tools or software to improve processes.
Additional Details
You would be contracted to work 39 hours per week.
Working Hours: Monday 7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 4.00 pm Tuesday 7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 4.30 pm Wednesday/Thursday 7.30 am - 1.00 pm / 1.30 pm - 5.00 pm Friday 7.30 am - 12 noon (unless working overtime).
