Job Description
2020 Recruitment is working with a global manufacturing client to recruit an Engineering Fitter for their new UK manufacturing site in Dunfermline. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team and play a key role in the build, maintenance, and optimisation of advanced industrial machinery.
This position is ideally suited to a hands-on engineer with strong CNC milling experience, as well as the ability to contribute to general machine assembly and mechanical build activities.
The Role
As an Engineering Fitter, you’ll be responsible for assembling, setting up, and supporting industrial machinery. Your core focus will include:
* Setting, operating, and basic programming of 3-axis CNC milling machines
* General machine assembly and mechanical build work, including pneumatics and basic electronics
* Supporting the design and layout of the manufacturing facility
* Providing training to operators on machinery functionality
* Contributing to planned and reactive maintenance as the site becomes fully operational
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this role, you should have:
* Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, with a strong focus on milling operations (setting, operating, and programming 3-axis machines)
* Hands-on skills in mechanical assembly and build, including pneumatics and basic electronics
* Ability to read and work in XYZ axis co-ordinates
* Basic programming of CNC machinery (desirable)
* A sound understanding of erecting, servicing, and repairing industrial machinery
* A team-focused approach and positive attitude
* Full UK driving licence and own transport (due to location)
