Our client, an established aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) organisation, is seeking an Engineering Fitter to join its Inverness-based engineering team. The role will support line and base aircraft maintenance activities, working alongside Certifying Engineers to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Support line and base aircraft maintenance activities at the Inverness base, other operating bases and occasional off-site locations
Assist Certifying Engineers with aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with approved data, current regulations and company authorisations
Identify, document and accurately record aircraft defects following discussions with operational crew members
Complete assigned engineering tasks safely, efficiently and in line with company policies and procedures
Use, care for and maintain tooling, equipment and facilities to the required standard
Carry out aircraft handling, refuelling, role changes and cleaning activities as required
Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment
Provide general engineering and operational support to the wider business
Job Requirements:
Experience in aircraft maintenance, aerospace engineering or a closely related engineering environment
Understanding of aircraft maintenance procedures, approved technical data and relevant aviation regulations
Ability to interpret and complete maintenance documentation accurately
Knowledge of aircraft handling, ground support activities and engineering tooling
Strong commitment to health and safety, quality standards and regulatory compliance
Good practical, fault-finding and problem-solving skills
Ability to work effectively with Certifying Engineers and wider operational teams
Flexibility to work occasional weekends, additional hours and at temporary or off-site bases, including overnight stays where required
