An exciting opportunity has become available for an Engineering Geologist to join a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy based in Sheffield. The company delivers a wide range of projects across sectors including commercial development, residential, infrastructure, and renewable energy, providing high-quality geotechnical and environmental services across the UK.

This role offers the chance to work on a variety of ground investigation and geotechnical projects, with excellent opportunities for professional development within a growing and supportive team.

The Role

As an Engineering Geologist, you will be involved in both site and office-based work, supporting the delivery of ground investigation projects from planning through to reporting.

Key responsibilities will include:

Supervising and carrying out ground investigations
Logging soil and rock samples to industry standards
Coordinating with drilling contractors on site
Collecting soil and groundwater samples for laboratory testing
Preparing factual and interpretative reports
Assisting with geotechnical analysis and assessments
Ensuring works are carried out in accordance with health and safety proceduresRequirements

Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or a related discipline
Around 1-3 years of relevant industry experience
Experience supervising ground investigation works
Strong report writing skills
Full UK driving licenceBenefits
