We are seeking a skilled and motivated Engineering Geologist to join our successful team in Manchester. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented, professional geologist, with a passion for delivering high-quality consultancy services. You will play a key role in supporting a variety of projects, ranging from small-scale developments to large, multidisciplinary infrastructure schemes.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct site investigations, including desk studies, site supervision, and data collection
* Prepare technical reports, including Phase 1 Desk Studies, Phase 2 Site Investigations.
* Provide technical advice and solutions to clients, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards
* Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget
* Undertake risk assessments and provide recommendations for remediation strategies where necessary
* Assist in the preparation of tenders, proposals, and project documentation
Requirements:
* A degree in Geology/Environmental Science, or a related discipline
* Proven experience as an Engineering Geologist
* Strong knowledge of UK regulations, standards, and environmental guidelines
* Eligibility to work in the UK
* UK driving licence
* Commutable to Manchester
Daily Duties:
* Conducting site visits to supervise investigations and collect samples
* Analysing soil, rock, and groundwater data to assess site conditions
* Preparing detailed reports and presenting findings to clients and stakeholders
* Liaising with contractors, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project requirements are met
* Managing project timelines and budgets effectively
