A rare opportunity has arisen for an experienced Engineering Manager to join a growing international manufacturing business at a pivotal stage in its development, close to the Ashby De La Zouch area
Operating within a complex manufacturing environment, the business has ambitious plans for future growth and operational excellence. Backed by a successful international group, significant investment is available to support engineering-led improvements, site development and long-term business objectives.
The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving the next phase of the site's journey. This is not simply a maintenance leadership position; the business is seeking an individual capable of challenging the status quo, identifying root causes behind operational and reliability issues and implementing sustainable solutions that deliver lasting performance improvements.
Working as a key member of the senior leadership team, you will have the opportunity to shape engineering strategy, influence future investment decisions and build a world-class engineering function.

Lead and develop the engineering team, driving a culture of accountability, engagement and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement the site's engineering strategy aligned to business objectives.
Improve asset reliability, plant availability and overall operational performance.
Lead root cause investigations into recurring equipment and process issues, implementing robust corrective actions.
Manage maintenance, reliability and engineering improvement programmes.
Develop and deliver CAPEX projects, ensuring investment is targeted towards sustainable operational improvements.
Manage engineering budgets and resource planning.
Drive improvements in engineering compliance, health & safety and asset management.
Work collaboratively with operations and senior leadership to support business growth and performance objectives.Engineering Manager requirements
A recognised engineering qualification in any of the following - Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical engineering etc
Proven Engineering Management experience within FMCG, food, packaging, chemical, Automotive, or process manufacturing environments.
Demonstrable experience leading engineering teams through periods of change and performance improvement.
Strong background in maintenance, reliability and continuous improvement methodologies.
Experience managing significant CAPEX and maintenance budgets.
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong problem-solving ability with a structured approach to root cause analysis and decision making.
