An established engineering organisation with operations across several critical infrastructure and industrial sectors is looking to appoint an Electrical Engineering Manager to lead a team of engineers in the design, development, and delivery of electrical systems and components.
This role offers the opportunity to take ownership of both technical execution and team development, working across a broad range of electro-mechanical projects from initial design through to production and post-installation support. You’ll operate at both a strategic and hands-on level to help deliver high-quality, compliant, and efficient electrical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Lead a multi-skilled team of electrical engineers, overseeing day-to-day operations and project execution.

Manage the delivery of new product developments and electrical design projects from concept through to implementation.
*
Translate functional and operational requirements into electrical design specifications and deliverables.
*
Ensure adherence to applicable industry standards, safety regulations, and documentation protocols.
*
Oversee drawing generation and revision control using electrical design software.
*
Facilitate regular design reviews, provide technical guidance, and resolve complex engineering challenges.
*
Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders regarding electrical engineering matters.
*
Support production and site teams with commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting activities.
*
Promote a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and technical excellence within the engineering team.
*
Provide mentoring, development planning, and performance management for team members.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
*
Degree-qualified in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (or closely related discipline).
*
At least 10 years of professional engineering experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a senior or managerial role.
*
Strong background in electrical design for industrial systems, machinery, or large assemblies.
*
Experience with electrical CAD tools (e.g. EPlan, AutoCAD, or similar platforms).
*
Good understanding of compliance frameworks and industry regulations for electrical systems.
*
Confident managing team priorities, technical delivery, and cross-functional collaboration.
*
Strong communication, leadership, and mentoring skills.
*
Comfortable working in a structured project environment with multiple concurrent workstreams.
*
A proactive and organised approach to both design and team management.
