A global engineering company is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead the design and delivery of glovebox systems for nuclear applications. This is a senior technical leadership role ideal for someone with deep expertise in containment systems and a proven ability to manage multidisciplinary teams across high-value projects.
Key Responsibilities of Engineering Manager Role
Act as Engineering Design Authority and Nominated Engineer on major contracts
Lead glovebox system design from concept to commissioning
Ensure compliance with ISO 10648, ASME, BS EN, and nuclear safety standards
Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and safety disciplines
Provide technical input to tenders and business development activities
Mentor junior engineers and support strategic capability growth
Candidate Requirements for Engineering Manager Role
Degree-qualified in Engineering (BEng/BSc); postgraduate qualification preferred
Chartered Engineer status (IMechE, IET or equivalent)
10+ years in nuclear engineering, including glovebox or containment systems
Strong knowledge of CAD (SolidWorks/Inventor), CFD/FEA, and stainless-steel fabrication
Proven leadership in engineering delivery and team development
British National and ability to get security cleared
