Engineering Manager – Transport Refrigeration | South West (Avonmouth Depot)
Salary: £43,000 – £50,000
Location: Avonmouth (commutable distance required)
We’re on the lookout for an Engineering Manager to lead a team of 13 talented engineers across the South West — Bath, Bristol, Exeter, Gloucester, Swindon, and Taunton. If you like keeping things running smoothly (and enjoy a bit of banter along the way), keep reading.
What you’ll be doing:
Leading, supporting, and developing a team of 13 engineers across the region
Managing daily operations from the Avonmouth depot
Overseeing the OOH callout rota and ensuring workload coverage
Maintaining safety compliance and operational standards
Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues with engineers and OEMs
Managing stock, tools, and equipment to agreed standards
Working closely with internal teams and customers to ensure smooth communication and great serviceWhat we’re looking for:
Proven Engineering Manager experience – ideally within refrigeration or mechanical engineering
Strong leadership skills – firm but fair, approachable, and supportive
Excellent communication and organisational ability
Smart-device and computer literate
