Job Title: Engineering Project Manager
Salary: Up to £56,000 (dependent on experience) + £4,500 car allowance
Location: Reading or Swindon - with travel across sites

About the Role:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and skilled professional to manage end-to-end engineering projects across our client's operational sites and estate. You'll oversee the full project lifecycle - from scoping and tendering to construction, commissioning, and handover - ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage and deliver a portfolio of mechanical, electrical, and ICA projects, typically valued between £100,000 and £1 million each.
Oversee multiple live projects simultaneously, from concept through to completion.
Collaborate with operational teams and contractors to develop cost-effective, low-risk solutions.
Maintain a zero-compromise approach to health and safety, including monthly audits.
Ensure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and CDM regulations.
Lead project construction, financial forecasting, and reporting.
Approve project documentation including risk assessments, method statements, and construction phase plans.
Oversee commissioning, training, and handover to operations teams, ensuring all completion documents are provided.
What Our Client is Looking For:
Background in mechanical, electrical, or civil engineering (formal qualifications preferred, e.g., BTEC/HND or equivalent experience).
Knowledge of clean water processing and/or wastewater treatment.
Strong stakeholder coordination skills across internal teams and external contractors.
Ability to work independently with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
Understanding of health and safety requirements in construction, including CDM (training can be provided).
Proven experience in construction or engineering project management.
