Salary: £55,000 – £57,000
Shift Pattern: Panama
A well-established manufacturing business in Blackpool is seeking an experienced Engineering Shift Lead to join their growing operations team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer to take on a role that combines both hands-on maintenance work and leadership responsibilities within a forward-thinking, high-performing manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support a team of engineers while remaining hands-on as an Engineering Shift Lead.
* Delegate daily maintenance tasks, ensuring planned and reactive work is completed efficiently.
* Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on a range of automated production equipment.
* Oversee shift performance, prioritising safety, quality, and equipment reliability.
* Provide technical support, training, and guidance to maintenance engineers.
* Drive continuous improvement projects and support new equipment installations and upgrades.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience as an Engineering Shift Lead, Maintenance Team Leader, or Senior Multi-Skilled Engineer in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
* A balance of strong leadership skills and a hands-on engineering approach.
* Qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical).
* Confident in fault-finding, root cause analysis, and coordinating engineering activities.
* Committed to promoting a safe, efficient, and proactive maintenance culture.
