Alexander Steele is proud to be partnering with a well-established food manufacturing business in Cumbria to recruit a skilled and driven Site Electrical Lead.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing site as the electrical subject matter expert. You’ll take the lead on all electrical maintenance activities, drive site-wide compliance, and play a key role in delivering reliability and continuous improvement across the site.
Key Responsibilities
*
Lead and coordinate all electrical maintenance activities on site
*
Ensure compliance with electrical safety regulations and company standards
*
Develop and implement planned preventative maintenance (PPM) strategies
*
Support capital projects and installations from an electrical perspective
*
Fault finding and root cause analysis on electrical breakdowns
*
Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance engineers
*
Drive improvements in site efficiency, reliability, and safety
Key Requirements
*
Time-served, qualified electrician with relevant certification (e.g. 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent)
*
Strong background in electrical maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial setting
*
Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing is highly desirable
*
Good understanding of PLCs, control systems, and automated equipment
*
Strong knowledge of H&S and regulatory requirements (e.g. PUWER, LOLER, HACCP)
*
Proven leadership qualities and the ability to manage contractors or small teams
*
Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with excellent attention to detail
