Overview:
A leading supplier of engineering parts and services is seeking an experienced Onsite Account Manager to join their team, based at a key customer site in Peterborough. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a commercially minded professional with experience in industrial B2B environments or procurement within manufacturing or engineering.
Role Purpose:
The Onsite Account Manager will be responsible for the efficient operation and ongoing development of the customer’s onsite stores. The position involves balancing operational delivery with a strong commercial focus—identifying opportunities to add value, improve processes, and drive growth.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operation of the onsite stores, including issuing parts and processing quotations and orders.

Attend production and engineering meetings to understand priorities and initiatives.
*
Develop and implement stores management services and processes in collaboration with site teams.
*
Prepare and follow up on customer quotations.
*
Deliver agreed service levels in line with site-specific KPIs and targets.
*
Plan and manage stock requirements in conjunction with the line manager and customer.
*
Identify opportunities for cost savings, spend consolidation, and margin improvement.
*
Build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders, including engineering and facilities managers.
Key Skills and Experience:

Proven experience in an operational or commercial role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
*
Strong relationship-building and communication skills.
*
Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
*
Commercial awareness and the ability to identify value-added opportunities.
*
Full UK driving licence.
*
