SENIOR ENGINEER / ENGINEERING TEAM LEADER

Job Title: Senior Engineer / Engineering Team Leader
Location: Boston, Lincolnshire

Shift: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)

Job Role of the Senior Engineer / Engineering Team Leader

A position is now available for a Senior Engineer / Engineering Team Leader to join a well-established FMCG manufacturing site operating within a fast-paced, automated environment. This is a hands-on leadership role within a high-performing engineering team, offering the opportunity to lead from the front while remaining technically involved.

You will be responsible for leading a team of engineers on shift, ensuring all planned and reactive maintenance is delivered effectively, while driving reliability, performance and continuous improvement across the site.

Sector – Factory Maintenance (FMCG)

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Senior Engineer / Engineering Team Leader

• Multi-skilled engineer 
• Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Engineering qualification 

Requirements for the Senior Engineer / Engineering Team Leader

• Experience leading and developing a team of maintenance engineers on shift.
• Strong background in planned and reactive maintenance (CMMS systems).
• Ability to diagnose faults and drive root cause analysis and improvements.
• Experience coordinating engineering activities to support production demands.
• Strong understanding of health & safety and site compliance standards.
• Hands-on approach with the ability to support plant and equipment when required.
• Experience driving continuous improvement and plant performance.
• Strong fault-finding ability, including PLC fault finding.

Desirable Requirements for the Senior Engineer / Engineering Team Leader

• Electrically biased with a relevant electrical qualification.
• Experience within an FMCG or food manufacturing environment.
• Time-served apprenticeship background.
• Experience working on automated production or process equipment.
