Maintenance Team Leader
Manchester
£60,000 per annum
Monday to Friday - Days (No Shifts!)
Are you a hands-on maintenance leader with experience in fast-paced FMCG environments? Do you thrive under pressure and have a passion for driving performance, minimising downtime, and leading from the front? If so, this could be the ideal opportunity for you.
We're working with a leading FMCG manufacturer in Manchester, known for their high-quality products and continuous investment in people, process, and equipment. Due to ongoing growth and site development, they are now looking for a Maintenance Team Leader to take ownership of the day-to-day engineering operations on site.
The Role:
As the Maintenance Team Leader, you will:
Lead a team of multi-skilled engineers, ensuring high levels of performance, motivation, and technical excellence.
Manage and prioritise maintenance schedules, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and proactive maintenance.
Ensure compliance with health & safety and food safety standards.
Report to the Engineering Manager and act as the key link between engineering and production.
What We're Looking For:
Proven experience as a Maintenance Supervisor/Team Leader in an FMCG, food, or high-speed manufacturing environment.
Strong mechanical and/or electrical background with relevant qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, HNC/HND).
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
A proactive mindset with a strong focus on reliability and OEE.
Comfortable working Mon-Fri days and occasionally supporting project work when needed.
