Engineering Technician - £16.93 p/h - Temp - Start ASAP

Location: Oxford
 Hours: 37.5 per week 
 Contract: Temporary 

A leading biotech company is looking for a hands-on Engineering Technician to support their R&D and workshop teams. This company develops innovative insect‑control solutions used in both agriculture and public health.

This is a great opportunity for someone practical who enjoys building, experimenting, and working with a variety of tools and materials.

The Role

Hands‑on mechanical assembly and build work
Working with metals, plastics, and 3D‑printed components
Using workshop tools (including drills, laser cutter, basic power tools)
Setting up and operating a 3D printer (training provided)
Supporting prototype builds and trial‑and‑error testing
Reading and following engineering drawings
Working safely in a mixed workshop and occasional lab environmentAbout You

Practical, hands‑on, and confident with tools
Able to follow instructions and drawings accurately
Comfortable asking questions when unsure
Computer‑literate (especially for 3D printer software)
No degree required - vocational or workshop experience ideal
