The Role:
You’ll work with the English department to close gaps and raise attainment. Expect to lead short intervention groups, provide 1:1 tutoring, and reinforce reading, writing, and analysis. You’ll help prepare resources, support revision and exam technique, and track simple progress notes to inform next steps.
The Candidate:
You hold a degree (English or related preferred), explain ideas clearly, and build rapport quickly with learners. You’re organised, proactive, and motivated to move into teacher training after a successful year in school.
Requirements
• Degree – A 2:2 or above in any subject.
• Communication – Clear and confident verbal and written communication.
• Enhanced DBS – Must hold or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS certificate.
• Desire to work in education/with children – Keen to support pupil progress and pursue teaching.
• Experience working with children – Any relevant experience such as tutoring, mentoring, or volunteering is desirable but not essential.
