Are you an inspiring Teacher of English/Drama looking for your next fulfilling opportunity in the Barrow-in-Furness area? Look no further! Tradewind Recruitment are delighted to be supporting an OFSTED-rated 'Good' mainstream secondary school seeking an experienced and passionate English/Drama specialist to join them from January 2026 on a long-term basis.
This role can be offered full time or part time, giving you the flexibility to achieve the right work-life balance.
This position offers a competitive daily rate of up to £250, along with the opportunity to teach across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
About the Role
As the successful English/Drama Teacher, you will:
* Deliver engaging and effective lessons across KS3, KS4
* Plan, prepare and mark work in line with school policies
* Assess pupil progress and provide meaningful feedback
* Guide students through lessons with clarity, structure and enthusiasm
* Support the wider school community and contribute to its positive ethos

To join us and be successful in this role, you will need:
* Previous experience teaching English/Drama at KS3, KS4
* A relevant teaching qualification with QTS
* A degree in English or Drama or related subject
* Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearance (if applicable), and professional references
* A CV covering the last 10 years of employment (where possible)
* The legal right to work in the UK
