A college in Uxbridge, is seeking a passionate and experienced Lecturer in English and Functional Skills to join our dynamic team.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking department dedicated to supporting learners of all levels to reach their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and inclusive English and Functional Skills lessons to 16-19-year-olds and adult learners
Plan, prepare and assess high-quality teaching materials in line with curriculum requirements
Provide academic and pastoral support to ensure learner progress and achievement
Contribute to course and curriculum development within the department
Participate in quality assurance processes, including lesson observations and performance reviews
What Were Looking For:
A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
A degree or Level 5+ qualification in English or a related subject
Experience teaching English and/or Functional Skills in an FE, school, or training environment
A learner-focused, inclusive teaching style and commitment to continuous improvement
Excellent classroom management and communication skills
A passion for helping students succeed regardless of their starting point
