Tradewind Recruitment is working with a welcoming secondary school in Northampton, seeking a committed English Instructor to join their team from January 2026. This full-time role is perfect for someone with a background in education, tutoring, or alternative provision who can confidently deliver Key Stage 3 and 4 English lessons.
The Role:
Deliver engaging English lessons using provided materials and creative approaches
Support students in developing literacy, comprehension, and writing skills
Adapt lessons to meet varied learning needs, including SEND and SEMH students
Work collaboratively with English and pastoral teams to ensure student progress
Provide constructive feedback and maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
About You:
Strong knowledge of English Language and Literature
Experience working with secondary-aged students
Confident, calm classroom presence and excellent communication skills
Flexible, proactive, and committed to helping students reach their potential
A degree in English or related subject preferred; previous teaching/tutoring experience desirable
