Tradewind Recruitment is supporting an inclusive and well-regarded secondary school in Northampton that is looking for a committed English Instructor to join their staffing team from January 2026. This role is ideal for someone confident in delivering English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a passion for helping learners grow in confidence and ability.
The Role:
Teach engaging and focused English lessons using provided schemes of work and your own creative input
Develop students' reading, writing, and analytical skills
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of mixed-ability groups, including SEND and SEMH learners
Work alongside the English department and pastoral staff to support student progress
Offer clear, constructive feedback and contribute to a positive classroom culture
About You:
Strong grasp of English Language and Literature
Experience supporting or teaching secondary-aged students
Confident classroom manner with excellent communication skills
Adaptable, supportive, and committed to helping all students achieve their potential
A degree in English or a related field is desirable; experience in tutoring or education is beneficial
