Job Title - Teacher of English
· Salary - £25,647-£27,540 per annum (subject to qualifications) + £1,700 market supplement for DET-qualified teachers
· Location - Chatham
· Contract Type - Permanent (full-time, part-time, or job share considered)
· Hours - 40 hours per week (08:30 - 16:30, Monday-Friday)
We are looking for a passionate Teacher of English to join Nacro's education team in Chatham. This is a rewarding opportunity to support young people who have faced barriers to education, helping them gain vital qualifications and develop the skills they need for their next steps.

Role Responsibilities
* Deliver high-quality English teaching, learning, and assessment.
* Plan and prepare engaging lessons and resources tailored to learners' needs.
* Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
* Assess student work in line with awarding body requirements.
* Support students pastorally, encouraging confidence and resilience.
* Contribute to curriculum development, student enrichment, and continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Essential Requirements
* GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
* Enhanced DBS check.
* Strong subject knowledge in English with the ability to inspire learners.
* Compassionate, flexible approach to supporting young people with diverse needs.
Desirable:
* Recognised teaching qualification (DET, Cert Ed, PGCE, or equivalent).
* Previous teaching experience in English.
* Experience supporting students with barriers to education or SEN.
