Job Description
The Opportunity
We are looking for qualified and experienced GCSE English and Maths Tutors to provide high-quality 1:1 tuition to students in Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to make a real difference by helping students improve their confidence, close learning gaps, and achieve their academic goals.
Tutors will work with students in a one-to-one setting, delivering engaging and personalised GCSE English and Maths lessons that are tailored to each learner's individual needs, current ability, and learning objectives. Many students may require additional support due to missed education, anxiety, low confidence, or other barriers to learning, so patience, encouragement, and adaptability are essential.

* Location: Liverpool
* Position: GCSE English and Maths Tutor
* Subjects: GCSE English and Maths
* Hours: 5-15 hours per week (flexible)
* Start Date: September 2026
* Duration: Ongoing
Experience, Training and Qualifications
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)
* Experience teaching GCSE English and/or Maths is advantageous
* Strong subject knowledge and the ability to deliver engaging, personalised lessons
* Experience supporting students who may have gaps in their education or require additional academic support
* UK teaching or tutoring experience
* A creative, patient, and flexible approach to teaching
To be eligible for this role, you must:
* Hold the right to work in the UK
* Hold an enhanced DBS certificate registered with the Update Service or be willing to process a new application
* Provide two professional references related to working with children or young people
