English Specialist Teaching Assistant - Secondary Schools - Tower Hamlets 📚
Location: Tower Hamlets, East London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, Term-time only
Salary: £100-£110 per day (depending on experience)

Tradewind Recruitment is working with several supportive and ambitious secondary schools in Tower Hamlets, seeking a dedicated English Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their teams from September 2025.
✍️ The Role
Support students in English lessons across KS3 and KS4
Deliver focused literacy interventions to improve reading, writing, and comprehension skills
Work alongside English teachers to plan engaging and inclusive activities
Assist students with varying levels of ability, including EAL and SEND learners
Encourage a love of reading and help boost confidence in English
✅ Ideal Candidate
Degree in English, English Literature, or a related subject (or strong A-Level English and school-based experience)
Experience supporting young people in an educational or tutoring setting
Excellent communication and literacy skills
A patient, creative, and enthusiastic approach to learning
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply through Tradewind)
