Milk Education is seeking a passionate and inspiring English Teacher to work across a range of supportive secondary schools in Sunderland, Gateshead, South Tyneside, and Durham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator to make a real difference—helping students develop strong literacy skills, a love of reading, and confidence in written and spoken communication.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging and creative KS3–KS4 English lessons.
Use and adapt high-quality resources to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Inspire pupils to develop essential reading, writing, and analytical skills.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages progress and good behaviour.
Work collaboratively with school teams and Milk Education to support a well-planned and sequenced curriculum.
Requirements:
MUST have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential for this role.
Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
Experience teaching in a secondary school environment (ECTs welcome).
Excellent communication skills and confident behaviour management.
A passion for helping students grow academically and personally.
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply.
