English Teacher - PRU (Bala, Gwynedd)
Start Date: ASAP
Pay: £160 - £190 per day (depending on experience)
Full-Time | Ongoing Contract
Tradewind Recruitment are working with a fantastic Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in Bala who are looking for a passionate and resilient English Teacher to join their team as soon as possible.
This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced teacher, or a confident ECT, who can engage and motivate students with additional social, emotional, or behavioural needs. You'll be teaching small groups of learners who thrive with personalised support, creativity, and consistency.
The Role:
Delivering engaging KS3-KS4 English lessons to small groups (up to 8 pupils)
Adapting planning and teaching to meet a range of learning and behavioural needs
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation within the classroom
Working closely with the SEN and pastoral team to support individual progress
Contributing to a caring, inclusive, and supportive school environment
The Ideal Candidate:
QTS or equivalent qualification
Experience within a PRU, SEMH, or alternative provision is highly desirable
Excellent behaviour management and de-escalation skills
Patient, empathetic, and committed to helping every learner succeed
Location: Bala, Gwynedd
Start Date: ASAP
Contract: Full-time, ongoing
