Are you a dedicated English Teacher with strong behaviour management skills? Supply Desk is seeking an experienced and passionate English Teacher to join a vibrant secondary school in Chesham!
Position: English Teacher
Location: Chesham (Buckinghamshire)
Contract: Full-time (Long-term)
Salary: M1 – UPS3
Start: September 2025 start
As an English Teacher at this secondary school, you will have the opportunity to inspire students to develop a love for literature and language. We are looking for a candidate with excellent classroom management skills, capable of fostering a positive and focused learning environment, even in challenging situations.
Key Responsibilities:
Delivering engaging and effective English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Implementing strong behavior management strategies to maintain a productive classroom environment
Differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of students
Encouraging student participation and fostering a love for reading and writing
Assessing and tracking student progress, providing feedback to support their academic growth
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level
Strong classroom and behavior management skills
Ability to engage and motivate students from diverse backgrounds
A passion for English literature and language
