About the Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and adaptable English Teacher to join our team and deliver engaging lessons across Employability, and ESOL. The successful candidate will also support a range of learners, including those with SEN (Special Educational Needs), ensuring every student has the opportunity to achieve their potential. Classroom sizes are small and this will be a PRU style setting.
Key Responsibilities
*
Deliver high-quality teaching in Employability, English (Entry Level to Level 2), and ESOL.
*
Support learners across GCSE English and post-16 English programmes where required.
*
Provide targeted support for learners with SEN, adapting resources and teaching styles to meet individual needs.
*
Design and deliver engaging, learner-focused lessons that promote progression and achievement.
*
Work closely with the wider teaching team to improve learner outcomes, retention, and progression.
*
Provide feedback, mentoring, and study skills support to help students succeed both academically and in the workplace.
Requirements
*
Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent) or willingness to work towards one.
*
Experience teaching English, Employability, Functional Skills, or ESOL in a college or secondary school setting.
*
Understanding of and commitment to supporting learners with SEN and diverse learning needs.
*
Strong classroom management, mentoring, and communication skills.
*
Passionate about raising standards and improving learner outcomes.
