We're working with several welcoming and well-resourced secondary schools across Northampton that are seeking a talented English Teacher to join their teams from January 2026. Whether you're looking for a permanent post or a long-term opportunity, we have a range of full-time positions to suit your ambitions.
Your Role Will Include:
Teaching English across Key Stages 3 and 4 (some schools also offer KS5 for suitable candidates)
Creating lessons that ignite discussion, spark creativity, and strengthen communication skills
Supporting students of all abilities through inclusive and engaging teaching
Helping to shape the English curriculum and contribute to collaborative department planning
Leading or supporting extra-curricular opportunities such as reading clubs, creative writing groups, or school publications
We're Looking For Someone Who:
Holds QTS/QTLS or an equivalent teaching qualification in English
Brings strong subject knowledge and a passion for literature, language, and learning
Builds positive relationships and maintains high expectations in the classroom
Enjoys working as part of a supportive team, sharing ideas and best practice
Is either an experienced teacher or an ECT looking to grow with strong guidance
