English Teacher

Tradewind Recruitment are recruiting for enthusiastic and skilled English Teacher to work at an exceptional school in Hull, starting as soon as possible and lasting until at least June 13th, with the potential for this to extend until the end of the academic year. This is a temporary role to cover a period of absence due to sickness, and as such may extend in the future. Payment for this position will be between £32,916 per year and £45350 per year, which scales between £168.80 and £232.56 per day.

The school is based in Hull and is easily accessed via public transport from most areas of Hull. It has a fantastic reputation in the local area and is part of a small academy trust that is local to Hull and the East Riding. Success in this position may lead to future bookings in other trust secondary schools. There is a large onsite car park available for candidates that drive.

You will be responsible for teaching English to Key Stage 3 and 4 students. There will be no year 11 teaching on the timetable, but some Year 10 teaching. Planning and marking is expected for this position, but there is a large bank of resources available for staff members, reducing the planning capabilities. PPA time will be put in place to assist with the time taken to mark.

Tradewind will also support your development during your placement and beyond through our fantastic CPD via The National College. You will be put onto all of the same CPD as permanent staff members, and encouraged to grow.

To join us and be successful in this role you will need to:

Has a PGCE/QTS or similar teaching qualification
Has experience teaching English to Key Stage 3 and 4 students.
Have experience working within schools in the UK
Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional reference checks
