ANZUK Education is working with a Secondary SEN school in Sevenoaks seeking to appoint an exceptional SEN English Teacher to join their dedicated team.
Join a SEND secondary setting in Sevenoaks dedicated to supporting young people with SEMH needs, where every student is given the opportunity to flourish. You will deliver engaging, adaptive and individualised English lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting students to achieve recognised qualifications. A secure knowledge of teaching English Language, along with a good awareness of — or willingness to learn — current AQA GCSE English and Functional Skills specifications, is essential.
Job Title: SEND English Teacher
Location: Sevenoaks
Pay Range: £176.40 – £240.20 per day (fringe equivalent to MPS1–MPS6), dependent on experience
Contract Type: Full-time
About the Role
* Deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that support academic and personal progress
* Support students’ wellbeing through a therapeutic, trauma-informed approach
* Track progress and implement interventions to maximise achievement
* Provide pastoral support as a tutor, building strong relationships with students and families
* Promote positive behaviour using restorative practices
* Contribute to a collaborative team culture, enrichment activities and ongoing CPD
Desirable Skills & Experience
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), ideally with experience in SEMH, SEND or complex needs
* Strong behaviour management skills, with knowledge of restorative or trauma-informed approaches
* Ability to use adaptive teaching strategies to meet a range of learning needs
* Experience supporting students’ social, emotional and personal development
* Confident in assessing, tracking and reporting student progress
* Excellent communication, teamwork and relationship-building skills, with a flexible and resilient approach
