Job Description

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a welcoming mainstream Secondary School in Leeds, who are looking to appoint an enthusiastic English Teacher. The school is committed to providing a positive learning environment where students are encouraged to achieve their full potential, supported by a dedicated and experienced staff team.

The school is looking to appoint an English Teacher for day to day or long-term cover. The successful English Teacher will deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, maintain excellent classroom management and support students to make strong academic progress while upholding the school's high standards of teaching and learning.

The successful English Teacher will have:

• QTS with an English specialism (ECTs are welcome to apply)
• Experience teaching English across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4
• Excellent classroom management skills
• Strong knowledge of the English curriculum
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• A positive, adaptable and proactive approach
