GSL Education London Branch is looking for an English Teacher to join secondary schools in Newham & Tower Hamlets. This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated and passionate English Teacher to inspire students and support their academic progress. If you are an enthusiastic English Teacher with strong subject knowledge, we would love to hear from you!
English Teacher Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging English lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Create a positive and inclusive learning environment that motivates students.
Prepare students for GCSE and A-level English exams with effective teaching strategies.
Assess student progress and provide feedback to support their development.
Differentiate lessons to meet the needs of all learners, including those with SEND.
Work closely with colleagues to maintain high standards in the English department.
Encourage a love for reading, writing, and critical thinking in students.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and attainment.
Follow the school’s behaviour and safeguarding policies.
English Teacher Requirements:
Must hold UK QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
At least 2-3 years of UK-based teaching experience in secondary schools.
Strong knowledge of the English curriculum up to A-level.
Ability to inspire and challenge students to achieve their best.
Excellent classroom management skills.
A passion for English literature and language.
A valid DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
